They Shoot Horses Don't They is an 8 piece band from Vancouver, BC Canada. Their debut album “Boo Hoo Hoo Boo” is being released on Kill Rock Stars on February 21st, 2006.  Their startling energetic live shows have won them listeners and even dancers throughout Canada where they have shared the stage with bands like The Unicorns and Xiu Xiu. They have a distinctive noisy oompa sound thanks to a horn section. The band has been compared to the likes of The Danielson Family, Captain Beefheart and Thinking Fellers Local 242.  Lyrical themes of desperation, betrayal and hardship are brought to interesting light in this overly joyful jittery music. Extensive touring in the US and Canada is planned to support this release.
