WIMPS SHARE VIDEO FOR "GIANT BRAIN" AND TOUR DATES

June 13, 2018

Seattle, WA punk sensations Wimps (Rachel Ratner, Matt Nyce, and David Ramm) have premiered the video for their new single "Giant Brain," from their upcoming album Garbage People, at Post-Trash. The Marcy Stone-Francois directed video is heavily inspired by the cult-classic TV show Max Headroom. The band has also announced a full US tour in support of the album (see dates below).

After six years spent building a reputation as one of the world's greatest “plenty of nonsense” guitar-bass-drum group, Garbage People finds Wimps taking leaps forward sonically (there’s saxophone, keyboard, and juuuust enough cowbell) and lyrically (subject matter ranges from gender pay inequality, decline of bee populations, insomnia, and wanting to steal a pizza... but only if it’s cheese)! On Garbage People, Wimps have successfully filtered the best parts of 70’s Rough Trade, the International Pop Underground 7” series, Devo, The B-52s, and The Breeders into a unique and timeless sound that appeals to playlist streaming teens AND adults who own over 500 records.
