NEWS
We're going on tour for the next six months in America, and I just want to thank all the people who wrote in to help with shows or just asked us to come to their town. We got more messages than we could respond to, so please don't be irked if you didn't hear back, your input is very much appreciated!
First of all, we're doing a solo tour of the U.S. from April til the end of June, playing with such fine bands as the Allscars, Spirit Caravan, Pig Destroyer, Croatan, Pleaseeasaur, and Armatron! Dates have already begun to appear on the KRS website, so we'll see you in the pit. In July, Joe is going on tour as a member of Mens Recovery Project, driving up the west coast and hitting the northern states from Washington to Massachusetts. Then Joe and Sam will return to the west coast as the Thrones tear it up along the I-40 corridor, returning to the NW in mid August. Killer!
Lastly, Thrones will be part of a large solo band tour, featuring Papa M, Nels Cline, Pleaseeasaur, and other lone luminaries TBA. The crew will weigh anchor at the beginning of September and return to home port in the peerless month of October. We're working on getting something together for a tour of Japan, Australia, and New Zealand in the winter, so if you've got any pointers on doing that, please write to us at thronestour@hotmail.com Thanks.
Recording News: Sperm Whale should be out in May sometime, and now that that ordeal is over, new projects loom on the horizon. Thrones will be recording a split lp with the cannibalistic Mancampus for Thin the Herd records, due later in the year. also:Split w/ Need and Me Me America on Toyo; 7" on Troubleman; 7" on Ajna Offensive; 4 way split 7" w/Sinking Body,Fast Forward, and Catholic Church on Capillary; possible split/collaboration w/ Agoraphobic Nosebleed; record on Vermiform; and Thrones are working on the soundtrack for Sadie Shaw's "Charm". So there.
Other than that, we bought another new van, and it already took a shit on us, so there it is. An unpredjudiced drubbing from every major American brand of cargo van. I win again. See you on tour.

BIOGRAPHY
Conceptualized in 1994 because friend Vern from Unwound wanted to share the pure cult-ization of Joe Preston who makes up all of the Thrones. First there was the tape. Vern put this one out on Punk In My Vitamin?. Then there was the cult. 100% uncut. Hair. Joe is a one man band that has a huge discography (beard).
