Bratmobile is writing and recording their next album, due for fall release on Lookout! Records.

Bratmobile has been confirmed for two shows with SLEATER-KINNEY and THE GOSSIP: June 7 - Los Angeles, CA @ El Rey Theater and June 8 - San Francisco, CA @ the Fillmore. Bratmobile is also scheduled to play ladyfest in August.

what's the gossip?

last week (day after new years) bratmobile was playing a show at evergreen in the dorms. first was jason traeger's band, which i didn't really remember. there was lots of left over champagne from new years. people were wearing wigs. next was the gossip who were really good and had their last show ever that night because the drummer moved to arkansas (later found this was a joke, they're still going on). the girl who lived there was getting complaints that it was too loud, and i heard the boy who lived upstairs was sick & trying to sleep. ALlison and molly were making up the set list on a paper plate, and i kept bugging them about playing where eagles dare, since slim was there...but it wasn't meant to be. Witchypoo was also supposed to play, but it didn't work out, though slim did come over and leave with like 6 cans of POP in his pocket. and my hat. So the gossip finished and gene defcon came on and played a couple of songs and bratmobile was rocking out, actually just molly and allison - erin was just moving a little (erin begs to differ - "Oh my God, I totally thought I was freaking out for Gene Defcon at that party, they're my favorite band!!!! I don't want it to sound like I'm not into them or something, that's literally ALL I listen to! If anything, I was probably in shock because I actually got to see them live."). i tried to take some pictures. i kept asking otto to play spacegirl but he was pretending he didn't know what i was talking about (cuz it's really spaceBOOTS). also the band had these little lyric books that said something about how they were for official use only or something like that. audrey had monkey pants and girl shoes that said DEF on one foot and CON on the other. she seemed insulted that i thought her pants looked like spandex. maggie had blue hair. after the second or third song the cops came again and the girl who lived there said to get out because they were gonna start checking ID's. we suggested going to our house (which was a really stupid idea, since we live in a bigger dorm, closer to the RD's and its smaller inside) but the party moved to rina? ryna? bryna? someone's house. On the way there maggie got really paranoid that a cop was following her so she went home instead to wait for the police to get off her ass. She thought it was because of her blue wig. Then we got the B/R----'s house after a while, but left before we went inside. There was talk of going to the bar but people ended up at the frumpies house, where the frumpies danced ska dances to the specials, and everyone else danced when they changed the music.
Bratmobile never got to play and they haven't since.
